1) The first eccentricity of the Double offset butterfly valve means that the stem axis deviates from the center of the sealing surface, that is, the stem axis of the Double offset butterfly valve is behind the disc surface. This eccentricity makes the contact surface of the butterfly plate and the valve seat both sealing surfaces, which fundamentally overcomes the inherent shortcomings of the centerline butterfly valve, thereby eliminating the possibility of internal leakage at the upper and lower intersections between the stem shaft and the sealing valve seat.
